Le printemps traîne un peu les pieds et j'ai trouvé que le croquis que j'avais imaginé pour le journal était guére stimulant. Je suis parti cet après-midi dessiner sur place et c'est ce que je vais proposer à la place. Springtime is pretty late this year and I found the sketch I wanted to post in the newspaper wasn't stimuating engough. So I went sketching on the spot this afternoon and that what I will offer instead.

Elles sont vraiment sublimes, ces montagnes de la Savoie, telles que je les découvre chaque fois avec un plaisir renouvelé! Really beautiful, these mountains of the Savoie. Always a renewed pleasure!

Une petite dernière avant l'été. A last one before Summer.

Il fait vraiment froid et ça ressemble un peu à un hiver sans fin. Allez, une dernière commande pour finir ce chapitre, ici le Teysachaux, encre et aquarelle. It's really cold and it looks like more a neverending winter. Well, a last work on commission to close this chapter, here the Mont Teysachaux, ink and watercolor.

Derniers flocons de neige? Last snow flakes?

Pendant que je vous écris, il neige ici. Une journée à peindre à l'atelier et à penser aux bateaux qui, eux aussi, attendent patiemment le vrai printemps. Now that I am writing to you, it's snowing here. A day to paint in the studio and to think about boats that, like us, are patiently waiting for the real spring.
