Et voici la 2ème partie de l'exposition dont je vous parlais la semaine passée. Cette semaine, Gruyères et Villars-sous-Mont.

This is the 2nd part of the show I was talking about last week. This week, Gruyères and Villars-sous-Mont.

Une exposition qui n'aura pas lieu. A show that won't be held.

En raison des risques encourus par la situation sanitaire actuelle, mon exposition n'aura pas lieu. J'en suis désolé et, en attendant des jours meilleurs, je vous ouvrirai quand même un peu les portes de la galerie en vous faisant découvrir, chaque vendredi, quelques oeuvres qui auraient dû s'y trouver. Bonne visite!

Due to the risks of covid19 my painting show won't be held. Sorry about it. Waiting for better days, I will open you the gallery doors by letting you have a look, every Friday, on the paintings that should have been seen there. Have a nice visit!

Encadrement. Framing.

Ma prochaine exposition aura lieu le 14 novembre 2020. C'est le grand moment de terminer les encadrements! Pour les aquarelles, c'était déjà prêt et hier c'était le tour des toiles. J'aime bien faire ce travail dans le calme de l'atelier. On peut découvrir aussi d'autres côtés du tableau, d'autres détails amusants.

My next exhibit will be held on November 14th. It's high time to finish the framing! About watercolors, it's already done and yesterday was the canvas turn. I love that work in the cosyness of my studio. One can also discover other sides of the painting, other funny details.

Il y a quelqu'un ici? Is there anybody here?

Les pâturages sont désertés et les troupeaux sont en-bas, dans les villages, pour l'hiver. Etrange sentiment avec un soupçon de liberté qui invite à y aller dessiner!

The pastures are deserted and the herds of cows are down, in the villages, for the winter. It's a strange feeling with a touch of freedom that invites you to go there sketching!

Hôtel des 3 Couronnes, Vevey

Plutôt occupé par les travaux d'automne au jardin (et aussi le vélo, soyons francs!), cette semaine, juste un croquis corrigé pour un ami qui avait choisi ce sujet.

Pretty busy with the garden and the orchard this week (and also busy with bike rides, to be honest!), just this sketch I made to suggest some changes to the one a friend of mine drew.
