Laisser tomber la neige. To let the snow fall.

Pour ma publication mensuelle sur le journal, j'avais envie de dessiner un paysage d'hiver. J'avais photographié un sujet à Châtel-St-Denis qui correspondait bien à ce qui était attendu, mais pas de neige. Heureusement, il y a une baguette magique pour les peintres! A paraître dans Le Messager de la semaine prochaine.

For my monthly posting for the newspaper, I felt like sketching a winter landescape. I made a photo of that subject in Châtel-St-Denis that fit well what they wanted, but no snow. Fortunately, painters have a magic wand! To be published in the next week issue of Le Messager.

J'ai mis tellement d'années pour me libérer plus ou moins de l'emprise de la photo! Mais maintenant j'y arrive et j'ose davantage prendre des libertés, notamment au niveau des couleurs! Ceci est un exempe qui me fait particulièrement plaisir! It took me so many years to get rid of the "leadership" of the photo! But now I can do it and I dare taking more freedom also about colors! This is a sample that makes me especially happy!
